„ Securing and creating jobs by innovation“

This mission of all companies of the ASK-Group was already set into action by well-building master Christian Weiß with founding the principal firm in 1860. He built the first Water supply net in the city of Kulmbach. With central heating devices a new revolutionary technology was introduced during the last years of the 19th century. The installation of a central hot water heating system in the Kulmbach city hall was one of the pioneer projects of these days.
The source area in Marktschorgast - disclosed by ASK in 1924 - supplied the the people of Kulmbach with drinking water of superb quality.

In 1957 and the following years ASK built and sold special air conditioning systems all over Germany and began with the development of storage heating devices in 1964 leading to a new quite successful branch and with that to the founding of the KKW Kulmbacher Klimageräte Werke (Kulmbach Air Conditioning Company).

With the end oth the 70’s the first gas heat pump was developed and successfully installed in Germany. Approximately during the same period of time the department of gas supply was introduced to ASK Foundation Engineering. Today ASK Foundation Engineering Ltd. is entitled to install pipe-lines of all sizes and pressures for water and gas.

In the 1980’s the field of activity was extended by the introduction of waste-dump-construction and long-distance-heating-construction.

ASK High Technology - founded in 1980 - today is working in two different heavily future oriented areas.
Hereby one area is the develpment of a new thermodynamic circular process. This new process will render CFCs and its more modern substitutes unnecessary.
Area no. two is what we call tribo-technologies. By innovative material-solutions and -combinations time to wear off of critical components in different industries has been increased vastly.

Vast sums have always been invested in research and development: Due to that more than 400 new jobs have been created alone in the 1960’s.

With founding the subsidiary company GAWAB Foundation Engineering Ltd. in Kulmbach’s twin city Saalfeld after the reunifcation of Germany new jobs were created in Thuringia.
